Tactile map

Yes they can ! ðŸ’ª

My visually impaired students made a tactile map.

They use different materials like pasta, lentils, chickpeas, rice, buttons, sponge, cotton, colored salt and glue. They used playdough to set boundaries among continents of the world.

Yes, they do it! And they do a key for the map 😉

Our most important goal is to empower them to become effective people in society, and to let education be the light of their lives.

Share with us, your opinion about our tactile map.

Salt Dough and colored salt

With the aim of developing the skills of blind and low vision students in UNRWA schools/ Tyre area:

Our students made a salt dough using flour, salt, and water

They made different shapes of salt dough using stamps.

Also, they enjoyed coloring the salt using colored chalk.

They arranged the colored salt in a small bowl.

Activities like this teach them to cooperate and stimulate

their abilities to develop it.

Card For Mom

On Mother's day, also blind students can do cards for them.

My students do that, first they wrote it using Braille.

Then use 3D stickers and colored cartoons to design it as what they like,

After that, I translate the braille words into Arabic to let his mother understand it.

They enjoy a lot, they are proud of themselves, feel equally with their friends.

The best thing is their smile when they finish it and give it to their mothers.

Online learning

Hello everyone,

I want to tell you about my experience as an online student📕.

It was a great experience in online learning as a student in LIU University. From years ago, I wanted to have a teaching diploma but while I was working it was difficult for me to register in the university, so when the online semester started it encouraged me to do it and register in it. The most difficult thing I faced was the poor internet services, specially that I live in a camp. It's nice to be in a session from your home, you feel more comfortable, and you can choose the time that does not contradict with your work time. Also, we safe time ⌛from online sessions from the sessions in campus, since we don’t need to go to it and rest in the traffic congested🚕. It was a great experience, I wish the good luck for all of us💓.

EDUC561

This year I registered for a teaching diploma in LIU.

I studied Educational Media and Technology with Dr. Amal Farhat.

My dr. was very nice and helpful, she helped us to love her subject.

I learned many helpful applications, like how to make a google form, and

how to let the group work at the online session more easier by using

Google Slides, Google Doc., Google Site, Jam board, Padlet...

Morever, how to make our assessment of students more fun and encouraging

to compete by using Mentimeter, Kahoot, WordWall, GoFormative...

Really a big thanks to my lovely instructor that teach us how to use this applications and for her big efforts, a big thanks to who teach me how to create this Blog.
